David Banner, Grammy Award winning music producer, rapper, and actor shared the Christmas spirit and a motivational conversation with Jackson MS youth, at the Boys & Girls Club of Central Mississippi. Heal the Hood at Christmas annual reception allows families a opportunity to be empowered by partners of The Banner Foundation. The Banner Foundation and friends, gathered to give Christmas gifts to families. The organization gave athletic gear, to clothing, food, educational games to the latest electronics. The event was held at Boys & Girls Club Capital Unit in Jackson MS. Heal the Hood, non profit organization, (now merged into The Banner Foundation) mission is to provide relief and recovery assistance to under resourced populations of the Gulf Region in response to natural disasters, and support youth development and recreation opportunities in Mississippi. The Banner Foundation was able to team up with SuperDopeNation to construct a design for The Banner Foundation that fits David Banners bold personality and fits the vision of the foundation.
