Tell us a little about yourself and your background.
I’m rapper from the dmv, who’s been performing all through out the area for the past two years. I’ve performed outside of the dmv as well, doing performances in Chicago, Las Vegas and North Carolina. My musical background consist of both rapping as a hip hop artist and for gogo bands.
Who was some of your musical influences coming up?
Musically, I was influenced by: Devin the Dude, Wiz Khalifa, Three-Six Mafia, Cash Money and No Limit.
How would you describe your style of music? How has it changed over time?
I’d say my musical style is very honest, fun, and melodic. When I first started rapping in high school I would rap about all the cliches that weren’t my truth. Whether it was drugs , guns , cars and clothes I didn’t wear. Eventually, that got corny and I’m sitting here telling somebody else’s story while it’s nobody telling mine.

Describe what your process is like for making music? Do you have any rituals or specific routine?
Typically I listen to beats while I’m heading out on a weekend night and just Freestyle till something sticks, whether it’s a cool hook, few bars or a dope melody. Then I write the song around that.
How would you describe your studio vibes?
I like real chill studio vibes. Time is money so I need as few distractions as possible. I do however enjoy having other folks who’s music I like in the building to get advice on in terms of delivery.
Which song of yours is your favorite and why?
Wyawyd (where you at what you doing), it came to me immediately when I heard the beat, the hook that is. Then literally I got a text from a girl I knew named Brittany from Jersey while I was listening to the beat. Thats how I got the start of the song “I got a shorty named Brittany, and I be so syced when she hit me”
What are your thoughts on the current state of hip-hop music today?
I’m good with the current state of hip hop. There’s so many sub genres out there. The sub-genres you like might not be mainstream on the radio or club scene but it’s out there ready to be connected with.
What music are you listening to these days? Any artist that you think is SuperDope?
Um super dope artist I’m listening to now , Drake, Lil Uzi vert, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz , Dom Kennedy, and Cassey Veggies.
If you could work with any artist you wanted, who would be your dream collaboration?
I would go with the Dream, Devin the Dude and Juvenile
What has been one of your biggest moments so far in your music career?
My biggest career moment would definitely be opening up for Snoop Dog and Wiz Khalifa for their High Road Tour after party at Echo Stage in DC
What can people expect next from you?
My album the BStape 2 is dropping Sept 11. Got a couple videos in the chamber too. So just more music, more videos, more progress and more me.
What was your first song you ever made, and at what age?
First song I made I think it was called ya dig. I was 16 and me and my friends recorded it on a karaoke machine. It was basically a knock off of what juvenile used to do where every like had “ya dig” at the end. Shit I think he might have actually had a song called ya dig.
How do you come up with most of your lyrics to your songs?
Most of my lyrics I write on the metro on the way to and from work. Or in the house a couple hours before I leave to go to the studio.
