Saturday, July 9th – The Grammy Award winning rapper and social activist, David Banner brought  The God Box: Lecture Series to Washington D.C. It was a sold out event, filling every seat at the Town Hall Education Arts Recreation Campus (THEARC).

Banner is preparing for his long-awaited eighth album, “The God Box,” with a national “The God Box: Lecture Series” tour and album preview. Those who attended were in for a treat as they were able to gain insight into what “The God Box” really is and how we as people can create a difference within these times of turmoil. Speaking on Hip-Hop and it’s effect on pop culture, politics, police brutality, and the Black Family, Banner was able to utilize his platform to deliver a powerful message that will resonate with anyone who has the opportunity to hear him speak. Attendees were able  to have their questions answered regarding the issues African Americans face today.
